Frequently Asked Questions

Are Chiropractors state licensed and do they have University degrees?

Yes and yes. All Wisconsin Chiropractors are licensed by the State of Wisconsin, requiring yearly continuing education credits. Chiropractors must earn a Doctorate at one of several Nationally certified Colleges of Chiropractic.

Do Chiropractors treat children?

Yes! Children and youth also suffer at times from either sports related or developmental injuries. Care is always taken to have all treatments pain free for our younger patients. Dr. Wexler has treated several patients from infancy to youth, as well as adults. He has also helped many middle and high school youth regarding sports related injuries.

What kinds of pain do Chiropractors such as yours treat?

Dr. Wexler specializes in treatments for muscles, ligaments and bones in the back, neck, shoulders, arms, feet wrists and legs. He is especially effective in treating constant or chronic headache pain. Many such treatments utilize an “Activator,” a device which allows head and neck adjustments without twisting of the head or neck. All treatment is done non-invasively; that is without surgical intervention.

Can your clinic help me with rehabilitation plans regarding my injuries and/or pain?

Dr. Wexler also holds a rehabilitation certificate which allows him to work with you to establish an exercise and nutrition plan to facilitate your quickest return to your regular routine while preventing further injury or pain.

I have a ridiculously high deductible; or, I may be in between insurance coverage. Can you help me?

Yes we can. Please see our Cash Policy within this site.

Do you accept Medicare Patients?

Yes. There may be a small deductible for Medicare. We will work with you to obtain the maximum amount of services under the Medicare program.

What if my insurance company limits amounts or refuses to pay?

The ultimate responsibility for payment is the patient’s responsibility. That said, we contract with a billing service which works with insurance companies to see that your fees are paid to the fullest extent. The Cash Policy can also be utilized if needed and necessary.

If I come in for a treatment, how many times will I need to return?

Chiropractic treatment is successful, in large part, due to our patients continuing with with the treatment plan designed by you and the Doctor. Again, depending on the severity of symptoms, return visits may be as few or as many as the Doctor recommends and to which you agree. Treatment plans are always individually developed as no two patients will be alike as to their treatment needs to alleviate pain.
